Generating a pop-up by pressing a button in a view of BSP (CRM 2007 WEB UI)

Hi Experts,

I have created a button in a items tab of sales order creation in CRM 2007 WEB UI and when ever that button is pressed a pop-up window should be generated.

( the pop-up window should be of table type i.e containing a 3 columns & 4 rows and a button, so that the user can enter some data and press the button the data should be replicated to the items tab).

I have added the button in BT115IT_SLSO component and follwed every procedure of creating a table type view , added the view & view set to the window , assigned the source and target view in the navigation links, added the component usage etc.

I am able to generte the pop-up but it is empty, no table view is generated and it is throwing an exception as CX_SY_DYN_ILLEGAL_METHOD.as per my understanding i am missing something while linking the pop-up view to the already existing one.

Do i need to create any custom controller,if yes could you all let me know how to do that and how to assign the controller to the new view(pop-up).

Could you all help me in resolving the issue.

Early replies will be appreicated .

Thanks

Tanveer.

    Hi,

You do not need to create custom controller.

Following are the steps for creating popup window in WDP Abap.

    1. Create a popup view (the view which you want to see as a popup window)

    2. Create a window instance and add popup view to it.

    3. Onclick even, click on the Wizard button on the top and select Generate popup option.

    4. Provide the window instance for generating popup.

    You are done!!

I believe you have posted this question to the wrong forum. You are asking for instructions of how to do this in BSP (CRMUI). This forum is for Web Dynpro ABAP questions only. We have a separate forum for BSP.

    • CRMUI is CRM specific and I work for NetWeaver; so I have no notes or knowledge to share on the subject. You should really just post this question in the BSP forum and I'm sure you will find people there that work with CRMUI. You aren't likely to find many CRMUI experts in the Web Dynpro ABAP forum.
