Postal Code Validation

Hi

I am in desperate need of a solution. We need to confugure PueteRico postal code to be like US. Now I have gone into SAP netweaver and changed the lenghth to 10 with check rule 1. What I need is when a customer is created in SAP then for PR (Pueterico) the zip code should give an error if it is not 5 or 10 characters. So if I enter 098765 it should say postal code 5 or 10 characacters just like US does. I do not know where to do this Validation? My boss knows it but refuses to tell me. Please Help.

Just try with the Checking Rule '0' or '9". It works

No it does not. It needs to give an error. Unfortunately my boss has access to a Manager only sandbox and she has done it there plus shown me the shot. Thanks anyways for your help

I found the solution. There is a setting specify countries in my sap..there a field called 'vehicle' exists. Put USA there for PR country and it applies the same checking rules of Zips being either 5 or 10.

Goto OY17, and maintain entries for Puerto Rico

Postal code 10 rule is 1.

Also, you can modify the function module ADDR_POSTAL_CODE_CHECK to add the code for PR which can be done by copying the code for US
