How to control inspection characterstics with process order type?

Former Member

A particular finished product is assigned quality inspection in the QM view in the material master. Everytime a process order is created for this material an inspection lot is created, this is well and fine.

But when I repack the same material (another process order) i donot want inspection lot to be automatically generated. How can i over rule the inspection characterstics specified in the material master with process order, what settings should be done and what process order type should be used?

Thanking you in anticipation.

Hi,

I have never try or tested it.But I guess it may help you.

Do one thing don't activate Inspection type 03 in Material Master.

Instead of there activate 03 Inspection type in - Order Type Dependent Parameter (T.code is COR4)

you can do one thing over here create separate Order type for repacking Purpose and don't activate 03 for this order type.

Hi,

Go to COR4 and Under Planning Tab you will find Settings for Quality Inspection.

Here select Inspection Type 03.

Hello Dhaval,

I tried looking for inspection type 03 under COR4, bt i couldnt find any...I am working on an IS pharma ECC 6.0 version supplied by some XXX implementation partner. Does that explain why i dont have that option.

Hi Sri,

I am also working with ECC 6.0 and ,I can't understand why that option is not available in your system.

Check it one more time.

Go to COR4 select your order type here you will find 5 tabs (Master Data,Planing,Implementation,Controlling and Display Profiles)

In Planing Tab you will find Selection of Quality Inspection at the Bottom. Here you will find only one available option for selection and that is of 03 Inspection Type.

Hi Sri,

First of all let me know whether you have find that Field in COR4 or not?

And if yes than whether this settings has triggered a Inspection Lot during Order release?

___________________________________________________________________________

You can see Inspection Lot in Order itself.Go to Order and under Assignment tab you will find that Inspection Lot.Just double click on it.

And if you are trying to serch in QA32 then check all the Required filed.

Most imp thing in List Settings , radio button should be set for All Inspection Lot or for Inspection lots without Usage Decision.

Hello Dhaval,

I have found the in-process inspection lot option in COR4 and activated it.

I have used this process order type in the creation of a new process order.

The inspection characterstics for the material is not activated in QM view of mat master.

When i create a new process order with COR1 and release the order and go to Assgnment tab and double click on inspection lot ---Message:"Navigation not possible because no entry exists".

The inspection lot field says 0.

Regards

Sri

Dear,

Are u posting the Lot after usage decision if not than try this

Choose Logistics ® Quality management ® Quality inspection ® Inspection lot ® Usage decision ® Change with history.

1. Enter an inspection lot number and choose Usage decision (UD).

2. In the usage decision screen, choose the Inspection lot stock tab.

3. Enter the quantities of stock to be posted in the appropriate field(s).

4. Save the changes.

Then to the packing & posting of the material
