Hi Gurus,

I have BI portal and another main portal which is a consumer. both of these two portals are behind the respective web dispatcher.

now I am creating producer in the consumer, what value should I put for host name , port, p4 host, p4 port.

Is there any doc dealing with this scenario?

Best regards,

John

First off, what service pack are you running? What parameters you are required to enter can be quite different, depending on the version of the portal you're running.

For NW70 SP17, (and perhaps SP14 onwards) see this documentation:

hi ken,

thanks again.

we are running nw7 sp15.they are fresh installed.

Attributes that I should provide:

1.producer portal host: now I fill it with dispatcher server

2.producer portal port: dispatcher port

3.p4 host of the producer portal: I leave it blank, if needed , what should I put

4. p4 port of the producer protal: I leave it blank, if needed , what should I put

when register the consumer to the producer, I also have to provide the same attributes regarding consumer portal.

Best regards,

John

John,

1. - external hostname of your producer webdispatcher (the one the user will be accessing in the web browser)

2. - external port of your producer webdispatcher (the one the user will be seeing in the web browser)

3.4. are needed only if you are going to use remote delta links. For RRA it is not required. If you configure it, there are options to go directly to P4 port or via Message server.

Regards,

Slava.
