Commodity code text missing

Hi

I loaded the commodity codes & texts for brazil using LSMW to table T604 and my login language was EN-english.

But when I log in to the system in PT-Portuguese I am not able to see the text content only the codes.

What am I missing..

Commodity codes are in table T604, while the lanuage dependend description is stored in table T604T.

in T604 you load the commodity codes valid for a country (the country of your plant), to show the description in different logon or document languages, you have to load the descriptions per language.

By the way, LSMW is not necessary for commodity codes loading. SAP has developed a load programm see transaction VE94.

I think I should use Tcode VEU4, as I am trying to load data only for Brazil.

I have the specified the values as follows.

Country Key - "BR"

Language - "PT"

Source file - "C:\Sap\BR_Comm_cd.txt"

Source drive - "C"

Subdirectory - "C:\TMP"

Initial item goods no. - "1" this the first place in my txt file the commodity codes start

Final item goods no. - "8" the length of the char or the last char of the code itself.

one blank space before the text as a separator

Initial item goods text - "10" the first char space for the text"

Final item goods text - "200" the last char space for the text"

When I execute, all I see is a small Upload screen comes up with date and a simple text "Source file".

there is no clear message of what happened or what is needed.

At the bottom of the screen all I have is OK/Enter check mark a printer button and a cancel button...

and there is no update in the table T604 or T604T..

Any help is appreciated.

thanks for your quick reply.

The data was loaded when I am logged in to the system in language 'EN'

This is my input file looks like.

01011010 Cavalos

01011090 Outros

01011900 Egua

01019010 Cavalos

01019090 Outros

The output gives me just one entry like.

SPRAS | LAND1 | STAWN | TEXT1

P | BR | | Outros

The Commodity code & other inputs are missing in table T604T.

The view table V-T604 do show me a blank entry in all columns except but the country key 'BR'

I think the only way to have the successfully load and to be visible when logged in to the system in both languages is to load the text file when logged in both respective languages.

Any suggestions, please..

VEU4 has a parameter for language, right beneath the country. If you enter there PT, then you can load to portugese language, even you are logged on with EN.

Hi,

The reason is you only uploaded the text in language EN, because you logged on the system with english at that time. From my point of view, I thought you should check the text in PT whether it existed in the system, or not? If not, you have to maintain it with logon language PT, that's so!
