Repriniting old W2 in SAP when they are not processed in SAP

Hi Experts,

My client wants to reprint old W2s after a new SAP Go-Live in 2009. They are required to reprint back to 1995 by law. We will import all payroll history into payroll tables, but how do we reprint W2s if we haven't processed them in SAP?

Please help urgently.

Thanks,

Ashish.

You need to run payroll for each and every month of the past years and then only it is possible to take the W2, just like Indian form16.If your client has legency system in place then, then that should be the better option.Thanks.

Hi Venkata,

But we can fill the clusters by running the payroll using schema ULK9 after importing all the payroll data from legacy system into SAP tables. But can we get the W2 reprinted directly after that for all the previous years?

Well depends on so many things...

Even if you get Taxable and taxes uploaded in SAP using ULK9...how will you get 1995 W-2 form format this year?

May I know the major cause of this request by client?

Ya, definitely the form format is one of the major problems in this case, but atleast we can have the data.

Well in this case I would reccomed you to go to the third party software who really print W-2 for minimal cost and usually they might be having 1995 format. I don't see any possibilities of printing W-2 with such a very old form.

For companies providing these services just google it.

Just for curiosity may i know the LAW or SCENARIO under which you wanna report data of 1995?

I hope this helps.
