Hi Experts,
I have a client who have a question about entering a Sales Order. At this stage the Client wants SBO to recognise if there are Items on the Sales Order that is not Compatible with each other. For example, they sell containers, and they don't want customers to buy a lid that won't fit on the container that is already on the Sales Order.
Does SBO have this funcionality? If not, do you have any suggestions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Marli
Marli,
Could you please explain the following in your business process.
1. Do the users who enter the Sales order know which container and which lid is compatible.
2. If the users have the knowledge, than is this to prevent any mistakes
Answer to your question:
SAP B! does not have a function / feature to prevent this. It has to be a customization either using stored procedures provided by SAP and if the logic is too complex then you might probably need an Addon developed for this.
Let me know

Hi Marli,
The logic to check whether the items are compatible with each other will be extremely complicated. I don't think any systems can handle this situation easily.
You might have to create your own logic by taking advantages of UDF, FMS and SP_Transaction_Notification to make it work. You could check this forum thoroughly to find related info.
Thanks,
Gordon
