SAP PS WBS-Statistical & Real WBS

Hello All,

I am aware of the configuration of Statistical was elements also a project can be created with combination of statistical and real wbs elements.

-Real WBS elements can be settled to FXA/CTR.

-Statistical WBS will be Activated and a cost center must be entered since statically needs a real CO object and it can't be settled.

Did anyone come across through this scenario ? If so , could you give me a relevant business scenario ? I am trying to connect dots.Any advise wouid be a great help.

    Hi Srini,

we have scenarios in my current organisation, we follow the CAPEX and OPEX projects.

    1. CAPEX projects are generally with Investment Measure. this CAPEX projects settle to AUC and AUC settle to FXA.

    2. OPEX project are generally maintenance Projects which can be controlled using MO ( Maintenance Order) but controlling on budget also the major factor here. so we use Statistical WBS with Cost centre posting but budget controlling done by WBS.

    Hope this will help you.

    Regards,

    Thanks Omkar.

You are saying that a maintenance order will be created against a Statistical WBS element where a Cost Center will be entered (since Static object needs a Real object)-Budget will be allocated to WBS and Planned cost comes from the Order-Actuals reflect-Order cost will be settled to Cost Center from KO88.

We used the same scenario for CAPEX but we used a real WBS element and we settled Maintenance Order cost to WBS and Settled WBS to AUC.

Question:Why can't we use STATISTICAL Internal Order for Budgeting settle the Maintenance Order to Cost Center ?

    Thank You for your help!
