I want to install 4.7 for training only. I have the IDES DVDs but do not want the
application data installed.
Is there a way to install 4.7 from the IDES DVDs but not install the application
data?
I just want a clean system without any of the IDES customization or application
data.
why not use the standard set of CDs then??

Screenshots?
No offense - but you plan to install a SAP system with Oracle and you don't know how to set/check environment variables? I can tell you - it will be a frustrating experience... (no offense again).

Dear,
you should delete ides client and create a new client copy respective data from 000.

The best way to do this with the IDES disks is to complete the full install and then go back and delete the IDES clients (800, 810, and so on). Then go back, create a new client, and complete a local client copy from 000).
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
