Hi,
Our company wants to maintain a "Group of Assets" in a single asset number.
for eg. We purchase in a single lot 100 nos of chairs, we want to keep individual number to each chairs, but at the same time all the chairs will be booked in one asset number. Is it posible, if it is possible give the steps.
What is Group Asset in SAP?

Hi,
group asset would work, but I would not recommend it ... it´s like shooting with cannons on sparrows.
Why don´t you use the functionality of asset sub numbers? You create one main number, and record all individual assets on subnumbers. Then you have an individual evalution, you can scrap individual parts, and for reporting you can use the function "reporting on main numbers". Even in the Asset Exploer you can show these cumulated assets when entering asset subnumber '*'.

Markus
