Do you need to commit after using FM Hr_maintain_masterdata?

Hi All,

I'm using FM hr_maintain_masterdata to create new employees. Once i have issued the call to the function module, do i need to issue a commit to save the data or does this happen in the FM?

it depends on the value you pass in for LUW_MODE, I dont remember off hand what value is what..like 0, 1, 2, 3..one of it is used to COMMIT.

Thanks for the response. So are you saying that the LUW_MODE parameter is for committing? I commented out this parameter and it seems to commit anyway...

yes if i am not wrong.. luw_mode =

0 : no commit and no rollback

1 : commit after booking all datasets without error

2 : commit after every dataset is booking without error

3 : no booking

those are the values

FM would appear to look after the commit
