Hi,
I have a query with 0plant as rows and 2 key figures in columns.
I have a requirement to group 2 plants as a group and display the subtotals for these two plants, apart from grand total of all plants.
Can you pls advice, how to do this ?
Ravi
We are not sure how many plants there are, but a structure could be manually created in the "rows" section of the query designer:
- select plant 1
- select plant 2
- formula = subtotals plant 1 and plant 2
- select plant 3 to include the rest of the plant #s = will total all of the rest of the plants together on 1 line.
However, if the last line needs to have the detail to show a row by plant number, then each plant # in the other section would have to be selected on its own row, before a formula row at the bottom to total the other section.

Did you try using structures. In The selection you can restrict the plants which you want to be in the same group. Thus you can get the desired subtotals.
like
Selection1 restrict 0Plant= a,b,c
Selection2 restrict 0Plant= d,e,f

Your requirement suggest you need to build a hierarchy of 0PLANT with grouping of your required plants together.
So you can build hierarchy and display results.
Hope this helps.

Have you researched "defined cells"? .... useful for a 1-time report.
Building a hierarchy per specs above would be a better-longterm solution.
