SAP Business Objects: Design and Reading Tab in Webi Rich Client

Hi

I am facing an issue with respect to the Design and Reading option. These options are not visible in webi rich client or applet mode in BO Production.

My user id is created based on the roles imported from BW production.

I am able to view and edit(design and reading option enabled) the webi reports in non production systems. But Due to some reason, the design and reading options are not visible in production.

The below options are enabled in production CMC:

Access Rights for Reporting - enable formatting are granted.

User Interface Elements tab, all the options on the Features tab are enabled.

I could not overcome my issue even though the above 2 options are enabled.

Can any one advise me how can I fix the issue.

Are you in a group that has access to the Webi application itself? Also, have there been any customizations configured for Webi for the group(s) you're in? This happens under Users and Groups in the CMC and I've found that they don't work like security inheritance - you always end up with the most restrictive set of customizations if you're in multiple groups.

We use Analysis for office as well and I have access to as well. Apart from the access levels, we donot maintain any roles or configure for webi in CMC. And I am part of the administrator group.

Can you suggest any where in CMC where I can go and do some checks with respect to it.

Go to Users and Groups. Right-click on each of the groups that you're a member of and go to "Configuration". If everything is not checked, then someone has turned off (customized) parts of the Webi interface. You'll need to look at both the "User Interface Elements" and the "Features" tabs.

Customizations can only be applied to user groups, not to users, so you don't need to check your user object for them.

Were you in another group which has deny on these rights? Can you double check that?

I am part of the administrator group. So I should not have any restrictions. Moreover my rights should be similar to non production as we promoted the access rights into production

Are you only in Admin group? Nothing else.
