GR thru PI sheet along with posting date

Hi

At present i am able to post GR for a process order thru PI (PROD- PI category)sheet,Process message. In this standard PI category there is not Posting date characteristics. So, I added PPPI_POSTING_DATE process message characteristics to PI category as well as Process message category.

While posting process message, system does not recognise what i enter as posting date. It picks up current date as posting date. It means the date what i entered in process order PI or in process message in CO54 is not taken by system.

How to do process message with user input posting date entry for process order GR?

Hello Sudhar,

I faced the same problem you have mentioned here.

Just adjusting the PI category doesn't help here.

You need to also modify the function module (the process message destination).This change is very simple. In this function module, you can see the posting date is passed as todays date (system date). You can change the code here to take the value from the PI.

For this you need to copy & create a new fucntional module & so need to create a new process message destination & need to do the modifications in the customozing .

I found in functional module COCI_CONFIRM_MATERIAL_PROD, budat(posting date) = event_date.

But how to change this event_date to particular characteristc value, what type of coding to be written.

It would be very much grateful if you post something in this regard. If possible send me the coding.
