Suppose for the material ABC reorder point is 10 and i have stock 10 qty. I got a requiremnt and deliveried the 10 qty available.

Now when runnign MRP with value in the filed create purchase requisition as '2' (i.e create PR in the opening period) whether the system will create planned order or purchase requisition and why.How the system will calculate the delivery date.

Whether we have to delivery date manually or system will propose?

Thank you.

Hi,

You have set Reorder point as 10 and there is no stock. Now you run the MRP for that Material by using PR in opening period.

On the Basis of Plant Delivery time (MRP 2)system will calculate the Plan Deleivery Date. But in this case you have select the PR in Opening Period.PR will generate in then first day of first week of the next month and as per data maintain for Plant delivery system calculates the Delivery date also.

Hi,

First system will check the Procurment type for creating the Planned order or Purchase requisitions when you run the MRP.

If it is "X" then the system will create the Planned order from that you need to convert to PR then to PO.

If it is "F" then it will always be Purchase requisitions if you run MRP.

Regarding Delivery time in PR, the system will consider the Planned delivery time which you inputed in MRP 2 view of material master. No need to enter manually the delivery date in PR, system will propose automatically from the material master to PR.

System will propose the delivery date....

Plnd order / PR will depend upon the procurement type .... Incase of X system will propose PR's

hi,

Delivery date is calculated based on the Planned del time entered in the MRP view of the MMR...

RLT - Planned del date + GR processing time + purchasing processing time...

So del. date will be auto. defaulted...

Now the planned order and the PR's will be created 5 and 5 for the indicator '2' with the combination of the procurement indicator for the both(External + internal)..

If you want all 10 PR's to be created from MRP use indicator 1

If you want all 10 to be planned orders from MRP use indi. 3...

Hope it helps..
