Hello All,
Can you someone help me to understand the below issue?
Dev we have one host (application + CI)
QA we have two host (DB in one host + CI in different host)
I have created the stack XML for DEV and changed w.r.t my QA system.
I used SUM 21 P9(which came along with stack file) to upgrade net weaver 731 to SPS22 from SPS10.
I did the below changes in xml
QA SID
QA Host of CI
QA CI Instance number
But I got the below error for almost all the components while giving the stack file
I logged in my CI host and started SUM tool in my QA system
May 21, 2018 6:05:29 AM [Warning]: Software component SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.3 : Composition Platform - 22 (02/2018) found in stack definition file D:\NW731_SPS22\NW73122\AP1.xml is applicable for system SID: AP1 and HOST: <QA CI host>, but the current system is SID: AP1 and HOST: <QA DB host name>. This software component will be skipped.
If I change the DB host details in stack XML then SUM is reading the stack.
But why this is not taking CI host name, I logged in CI host but why sum is detecting current system is DB host name (current system is SID: AP1 and HOST: <DB host name>)
Someone help me to understand this?

Dear Priyanga,
There can be more causes for the above warning, see examples:
CAUSE 1 (which is I deem the most relevant for you based on your description) - The hostnames as read from the stack.xml and that found in the system (DEFAULT profile) should match.
The KBA 2258269 - Dual Stack Update Inconsistency: Java Software Components are not updated and remians in the source version
in "Cause" section "Cause 2" describes your scenario. The STACK XML should be created as the DEFAULT profile shows the details.
CAUSE 2 - Parsing stack xml should not contain blank host value in target stack section. KBA's "Cause 1" of Resolution part describes this scenario.:
2462674 - Solution Manager 7.2 upgrade: SUM shows error "Cannot execute Java process for deployList with parameters"in DEPLOY-COMPONENTS- " Error: This SDA has a software type assigned that is not supported" in OperateSDM log
CAUSE 3 - SAPSYSTEMNAME is missing from the DEFAULT profile. The following KBA's "Scenario 2" of "Resolution" part describes this case and provides resolution:
1864882 - Error: Cannot construct a support package stack from file <stack.xml>. Stack definition file <stack.xml> contains no applicable stacks.
