MCRX related issue

Dear All PP gurus,

Can you please tell me the solution for this issue.

We realized that for some raw materials, the withdrawal quantity in MCRX report is almost twice as much than the booking in process order.

Yet, more interesting, this is happening only for some raw materials, and not all.

For Example, Material B3001, B1015 and B1117 have this kind of bookings but for example B2001 is ok .

Thanks in advance,

Narayan

Dear Mangal,

My problem is as below

The problem is that the withdrawal quantity differs in MCRX report from actual bookings. I cannot see why it is so, since this happens only few materials, but not all.

For Example:

selecting following in MCRX:

Plant: 1200

component: B3001

Period from: 01.01.2008 to 31.12.2008

Gives us a result 115 975,138 KG

When looking same selection, bookings to process orders (mvmt 261 and 262) in material documents we get 75641,093 KG as a result. We can see from each process orders that the consumption of this material differs from withdrawal quantities for materials in example.

I cannot see any reason why this is so.

Thanks,

Narayan

Dear Narayan Patil,

Are you using ECM for making BOM corrections are creation?

Also check these SAP notes.

623237 PP-IS: Requirement quantity doubled after mass processing

1034031 PP-IS: Incorrect data after batch input (S026/S027/BW)

1003973 LIS: Requirement quantity is not adjusted after GR reversal

1022584 LIS: Req quantity not adjusted after cancellation of GR II

Dear Mangal,

I got the following reply

Note 623237 could apply in the matter, could be that even note 513210 (mentioned in note) applies too.

Could you check what is necessary to implement note 623237 and also what is required for rebuilding the Infosystem S026?

So what should i do now please suggest.

Thanks,

Narayan

Dear all/Mangal,

I want to ask one thing to you that i have checked in Production server in that there is one raw material which is showing correct values in MB51 and MCRX withdrawal qunatities .But when i am checking the same in QA server it showing different values for the same material .So is it really helpful to apply the note 623237 in QA and then doing the testing?

Please kindly suggest . I am stuck in between .

Thanks in advance,

Narayan

hi narayana,

in mcrx for the materials in question, double click, you will get a breakdown list of the order and against it u will see teh requirement as well as the issued quantity. you will get an idea of teh orders wherein more issue has happened than required. you can further go to the order directly from this screen.

you will realize that some of the orders against which posting has happened, are lying outside the period in question and hence no posting has happend in the period.

please check and get back with the findings

Hi Narayan,

the reason for this is the postings to production/process orders that are lying within this period have spread beyond this period and so some postings in this order done before 01.01.2008 or after 31.12.2008 also appear in the report.

i mean for the 1st order in 2008, you would have posted before 01.01.2008 or for the last order you would have done some postings after 31.12.2008. as you say it is only for some materials, possibly while doing period end closing/stock adjustments, some goods issue to the order by 261 movement would be posted in 01.2009

please let me know your findings. i am sure this is going to solve ur issue.

Dear Vishal,

But my issue is that We realized that for some raw materials, the withdrawal quantity in MCRX report is almost twice as much than the booking in process order.

Actually for one material e.g. for material B2001 it showing exactly the same figure in both the reports i.e. MCRX and MB51.

So can you please tell me that what is the reason for this?

Thanks in advacne,

Narayan
