SAP HANA how to set trace level for trace topic ChildOutput?

Hi,

In the daemon_xxxxxx.xxxxx.000.trc file I saw the following line:

Specified trace level None for trace topic ChildOutput turns off all traces. This causes your database to be unsupportable.

I had a look at the trace configuration in HANA Studio, but I did not find it. Where do I configure this?

The warning message is caused by ChildOutput trace is being set to “None” level. Each time HANA starts up, a check like this will be performed by each server. If any of the trace levels are set to 'NONE' or set below the recommended level (for example WARNING by default but set as ERROR), the following Warning message will shows up in the trace file:

TraceTopic TraceTopic.cpp(00147) : Specified trace level None for trace topic ChildOutput turns off all traces. This causes your database to be unsupportable.

The warning itself is fine and it does not indicate that anything is wrong.

If you restore your trace level in Admin (Traces) this will not appear again until after a restart.....but as it's not an issue I would ignore it.
