Hi Dharmi,

Thanks for your reply.

It really helped.

I am having 2 more questions.

1. How to deploy the .sca files for Voice Kit

2. If I intend to connect to an R/3 system from VC 7.1 , how can I do that. Is there any step-by-step guide available on this.

Awarding full points to you for this answer.

Thanks

Nikhil

Hi Nikhil,

While installing Netweaver CE, you have to mention Voice also, which will automatically deploy two SCA's i.e VOICEVC(design time enviroment) VOICERT(runtime enviroment). This are the

two SCA's of netweaver voice. Please take care of the dependencies also.

If you have not done so, and now you want to deploy Voice, you need to deploy these two SCAs.

These SCAs should be already there with you. Please contact your adminsitrator to deploy these SCAs or you can download them from SDN.

If you have access(admin privilege) to SAP J2EE server, you can also deploy this SCA's yourself and this can be done using sap netweaver development studio(NWDS).

Steps are as follow

1) Open NWDS.

2) Goto Windows --> Preferences --> SAP AS java . click "Add new SAP System" and fill the details

pertaining to sap j2ee server for e.g hostname, instance number etc.

3) Open deployment perspective --> Deploy View --> External deployable archives --> Right click and

select both the SCA's and choose "Deploy". This will deploy the archives in j2ee server.

Hope this will help you. Feel free to contact me for any further assistance.
