hai gurus,

I am working with rem scenario, now i have 5 operation in my final product(fert), how to do confirmation

for each operation

Thanks for your valuable reply, i want to know about the settings we had to do during MFBF screen for

reporting point backflushing , that is while confirming a series of operation as mention in my initial query

waiting of your positive reply.

Dear Sekar Chand,

In MFBF you can do only individual operation confirmation and not from - to operation confirmations.

Include the check box for RP backflush in MFBF or MF42N after entering the plant and material(I think if

you have assigned a REM profile that supports reporting backflush automatically the system asks for

which operation you are going to do) under reporting point box enter the first operation say 0010 or 0001

as per the sequence that you have maintained.

Likewise you have to do from 0010 to 0020 to 0030..0050.

If you have included the check box for Auto GR while last RP druing backflushing only when you confirm

the 5 th operation you will be able to see a document getting posted for activities and a GR.

Otherwise only the activities or else activities+GI document gets generated.

I hope this will clear your doubts.

Dear Mangal,

I have last doubt on this querry.

1) whether i had to select a) component backflush b) activity back flush or c)Assembly back flush for opn

confirmation.

2) i had to give qty for confirmation and measuring units.

3) i had to give the Material, storage location, production version,plant.

4) Finally i had to activate the RP backflush indicator in doing so it will ask for the opn for confirmation.

pls correct if i am wrong and pls answer the selection type for question number one.

Dear Sekar Chand,

1.In normal cases select assembly backflush.

2.Enter the material,plant,to storage location,production version and RP backflush check box included

and enter the operation number in reporting point and also enter the header material's quantity and save.

check & revert back.

Dear mangal ,

i had done as per your statement , i had met with the following error.

1) I had activated the rem in mrp view and given rem profile as 0004( Reporting point with backflush).

2) while doing confirmation ( using T.C - MFBF) before giving the operation number , the system throws the error as

"Error reading in reporting point".

pls tell me the solution for the same.

Dear Sekar chand,

check whether have you assigned a control key either in the work center or in your rate routing which

has the value for confirmation as 1 - Milestone confirmation.

You will be facing this error because of this reason.

So check & revert back.

Dear Sekar Chand,

I'm trying to mean about the control key which you assign in the work center under default values.

Say if you are assigning PP01 means,then for this control key for the parameter confirmation you have

to set the value as 1 - Milestone confirmation.

This you can check in T Code OP67.

So all your work centers which are assigned to the rate routing operations must be having such a

control key which requires a milestone confirmation.

If you are not doing at work center level , then you can overwrite the control key directly in the rate

routing itself.

So I hope now you must be able to understand what'm trying to mean.

So make the control key changes and then check in MFBF whether are you able to do the confirmation

or not for individual operation.

Hi Sekar,

- While configuring the REM profile you need to select the Reporting point backflusk and assign the same profile in the material master MRP view against the FERT /HALB materials.

- While creating the routing for the material use the control key which is relevent for milestone confirmation (eg : PP01) for the operations which required to be confirmed.

for operation wise confirmation u have to enter REM profile which allow repprting point in material master

and in operation enter control key of milstone confirmation the when u backflush tick peroting point and enter the operation which u want to confirmed

1. In REM generally only the final confirmation will be done in MFBF and no operation confirmations are

made.

2. Operationwise confirmation is possible only if you have created a REM profile with a reporting point

backflush -

> mandatory option and Automatic GR posting at last RP when backflushing under control

data 1and the same should have been assigned in the FERT or HALB material's material master.

3.In this case while creating routing or rate routing we have to assign a control key which has got the

settings made for milestone confirmation value 1 under confirmations.
