New SAP ERP Web-based Transactions Questions

Former Member

Hi,

I've seen some video demonstrations of SAP ERP from their site ([http://www.sap.com/usa/solutions/business-suite/erp/demos/index.epx]). I've noticed that transactions are web-based (probably WebDynpro Applications) and utilizing NWBC as its client.

Our company is utilizing SAP ECC 6.0 and still using legacy transactions (like VA01 for sales order creation) via SAP GUI. Are these web-based applications already available in our system? Or SAP ERP is entirely a different product from SAP? I just want to try using these new applications.

Thanks,

Hai,

For using those Tcodes you need Web GUI to be configured for it.

Please follow the below link to configure the same.

That is actually SAP GUI for HTML.

Kindly see images on these links:

As you can see, this transaction is not a legacy SAP transacton and probably written in WebDynpro. Is this a different product from SAP? Is this accessible in an ECC 6.0 environment?

I'm just interested after watching the demo "SAP ERP: Simplifying Order-to-Cash Processes" on this link [http://www.sap.com/solutions/business-suite/erp/demos/index.epx]. It seems that OTC transactions were redesigned, modern-looking and simplified; compared to the legacy SAP transactions that looks complex and probably not all screen fields are being utilized.
