Hi,
In our case while using transaction CAT2, getting warning massege "CNF status is active ".
Whereas in Project status field it is MCNF PCNF.
This warning massege remain; till three times press "Enter", which is a headache for my User.
Please suggest your views/solution.

Shall I conclude that warning massage " CNF status is active" in CAT2 is as per SAP standard and their is no possibe chances to avoid it.

Try this...When u r entering time in CAT2, double click the last entry (i.e, if u enter time for 22.06.09 to 25.06.09, select 25.06.09)...a popup window will be opened and click the radio button for partial confirmation....If ur entering the final time recording, then u have to select final confirmation.

I have tested scenerio, but final confirmation tick is already blank.
Thus problem is not solved yet. Is their any config changes we can make to avoid this problem?

I have tested as per your suggestion but still facing same warning massage.
Correct me if I am wrong-
Even when I checked it in "Massage Maintance" in background using F1 key, it shows
Massage No.206 i.e. " Number of hours recorded & exceeds target hours & "
Where selection tick is blank then also we are getting that warning massage.
Is it a SAP standard process??

Hello,
CATS is entered for a particular activity if you check the status for that activity you will find that activity is fully confirmed and system status on activity as CNF.
The status which have been mentioned you indicates that one/few activities are MCNF (Manually confirmed) and since few activities are confirmed the Project Status is bound to PCNF (Partially Confirmed)
(1) Goto T.code CJ20N and open your project
(2) Select the appropriate activity on which the user is booking his time sheet
(3) Goto Edit --> Activity --> Confirm
(4) Remove the "FinalConf" tick
Now try whether user is still getting the same message
