Issue with application imported from SAP Design Studio to SAP Lumira Designer 2.0

Hi we created one application in Design Studio which was using Excel as a Data source and imported it into Lumira Designer. In Lumira Discovery we created a Story and added all the XLS Data source into the Story, Then further we created Application in Lumira Designer and imported the Design Studio application which imported successfully without Data Sources. Then we added Lumira Discovery Story into Designer Application so as to add all the Data sources and one by one replace the old with new Data sources where ever applicable. but as we complete the changes the pages one by one disappears means shows blank. Unable to understand the behavior can expert let us know the Issue.

Important Points: 1. Design Studio version we used 1.6

2. We have used UI5 table component which extn. we added to Lumira Designer as well before importing the application.

3. The data comes in some charts which replacing the old Data Source with New Data source. But slowly as the changes completes in Scripts and other places the Pages becomes blank

4. We have used Grid control as well.

Hi - there is a lot going on here, and I am not sure I follow. Would you please share some screen shots, and share with versions/SP of Lumira Designer / Discovery you are using?

Attaching a 2 nos Snap shot.

I am using SAP Lumira Designer 2.0 SP 2

The first Snapshot shows when the datasource is not replaced with new 1

The Second Snapshot after the datasource has been replaced the objects in the page disappears.

Dear Customer,

Please note the following:

I. "Upgrade from Design Studio 1.6/Lumira 1.3x Add-on to Lumira 2.0 Add-on is irreversible i.e uninstallation will not take you back to Design Studio 1.6 / Lumira 1.3x"

II. With regard to going from Design Studio 1.6 to Lumira 2.0, please note the following:

Please note that Design Studio 1.6 applications continue to run in a Lumira 2.0 environment without any changes. The only exception to this general rule is when your Design Studio application accesses HANA views directly through the legacy JDBC connector. In this case, * read

SAP Note 2512478 - SAP BusinessObjects Lumira Designer 2.0 - HANA connections through HTTP/InA provider - usage restrictions that contains important information.

Otherwise, you can make the decision per application if and when to convert the application to 2.0. As a summary, you need to:

1) Perform a conversion into the so-called m Mode in the BI Platform or Local modes of Designer (those are actually the 1.6 compatibility modes). This is the main part of the 2.0 conversion, and if manual adjustments of your converted applications are necessary, they are mostly imposed by this step. That means, for 1.6 applications that are already in the m Mode, only few (if any) manual adjustments are expected in general.

2) Export the application (still in the compatibility modes of Designer)

3) Re-start Designer in Lumira Documents Mode, and import the export file from step 2) in a new or existing Lumira document.

The following adaptations need to be expected after conversion of a * mode application to an m mode application:

1) Update of the stylesheet that is used by the application (SAPUI5 m library uses different style classes than SAPUI5 * library). For shared stylesheets, this needs to be done only once.

2) Control the layout (size and position) of components, adjustments might be required. This is expected due to the changes (including the tabstrip one you mentioned) on this major release change (1.6 to 2.0).

3) Control converted charts. The following known issue might occur:

Multiple Pie charts do not exist anymore. Replace with multiple single pie charts, or with a trellis pie chart.

Also, please refer the following SAP Note:

Thanks & Regards,

Sapna
