Hi,
I use Analysis for Office (2.6) with an input ready Query. I have a reference value in Cell A1 and Cell B1 is my input ready cell. In B1 I enter an Excel formula, e.g. = A1*1.1
The result is ok and when I transfer or save data everything is fine. But when I simply "overwrite" the content of B1 (in the same session), and transfer data everything is calculated with the new value but after calculation the old value (from the formula) is shown in the cell, because the formula remains!
When I restart the workbook, the formula is gone and entering a new value is no problem.
Why does the formula remain even if I overwrite it with a "normal" value? As I don't want to use planning functions for such a calculation, I would like to know, how I can handle this scenario. In a standard Ecxel cell the formula is gone, if I enter a new value.
Best regards
Gunter
Hey Gunter! Welcome to the forum! I'm new here too. I think I know what's going on with your Excel formula. When you overwrite the content of B1, the formula is still there, it's just hidden. So when you transfer data, the calculation is still using the old formula value. One solution could be to clear the contents of the cell before entering your new value. That way, the old formula won't be hidden in the background.
