Hi Experts,
Just wanted to check that in SAP ByDesign, in Bill of Material the input product UOM is in Grams while in Material Master it is in KGs. When we make the production proposal the input products are in KGs and when we make production order and task the input products are in Grams but as per our requirements the production order and task should be created in KGs. Is it possible or is their any way?
Regards,
Priyanka
Hi Priyanka,
Yes, the production process picks up the BoM UoM, and planning picks up the UoM from master data -Planning tab settings.
However if you want the Planning UoM in Production process, we see only two options:

Hi Priyanka,
This is system behavior: for example , in the BoM, the UoM is "g", and in the master data, UoM is "kg", then corresponding Production Proposal will be in "kg", Production Order will be in "g" and tasks will be in"g", to summarize:
Execution goes with the UoM in BoM. The only exception is when user deletes old products in proposal , and add new products , the UoM of new products will go to the execution parts (task, order…), So in your case here, you have to maintain UoM as "Kg" in BoM as well.

Tracy
