storage of samples

Hi,

i am fairly new with SAP and got a question regardig storage of samples (inspectionlots).

the way i do now store the samples is to scan the inspectionlot number into an excel file, add the date and crate number and store it.

i assume that this could be done within SAP, anybody who got a solution for this?

thanks and regards,
Roel

    Hi Roel,

I do not understand completely what do you mean by "storage of samples" (inspection lot sample size / calculation; physical samples; storage location for physical samples; stability study? and so on). If below information does not help you further, please clarify the description to help the Community members answer your question, share their experiences, ideas.

Thoughts which came to my mind according to current problem description:

    • main table for inspection lot data is QALS
    • main table for physical samples are QPRS
    • different selections of lots can be done by transaction QA33 (dynamic selection criteria make the filtering quite diversified)

If you are using an excel file for collecting data related to inspection lots / samples, those might already exist in one of the database tables and there is no need to create additional excel files. Transaction SE16 is used to access the content of such tables.

Transaction QA33 is for listing and processing inspection lots (it combines more transactions into a worklist-based transaction). Using the selection criteria you can specify your selections and save variants for future usage.

    Hope it was useful.

    Have a nice day,

    Albert
