Hello Gurus,
My Client is in the process of consolidating two Plants ie Plant B into Plant A.
They want to close Plant B and move all the operations to Plant A.
The process is common on both the plants and both are MTS plants.
I would like to know what are the steps that needs to be followed for this consilation.
Following are the steps that I could think about, from the Production perspective:
All the materials need to be extended from Plant B to A (MM Area)
Master data like BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, Storage Bins for KANBAN, SPK etc need to be copied from B to A.
Transactional data like the Open Prod orders, Goods issues need to be taken care.
Background jobs like MRP, ATP etc related to PP need to be taken care.
Do we need to make any changes to the configuration settings?
Thanks in advance
Srini
Hi Suresh,
Do we need to modify any Work center formulas or shopfloor paper printer settings etc in the config.
Thanks

Hi,
If the process is same in both the plants, we need not change the work center formulas.
For printers, we may need to do some settings, that is not from functional side, from Basis side they need to do some settings, example the user needs to assign for the particular printer like that.

V. Suresh
Hi,
There is no specific configuration is required. Already the A plant is there. Onlything the masters need to be extended. Also need to check any special procurement type like production in alternate plant & withdrawal from alternate plant is there, that need to check.

V.Suresh
