Discovery System + CE + ESR
We have here the following scenario:
- Discovery System 2.1.1 (no EhPs), server 01 + ECC SP level 8.
- CE - Composite Environment 7.1, server 02 + SP level 6.
- ESR, server 02.
We based our studies on the following article: CE, CE, ESR, AND DISCOVERY SYSTEMBUILDING AN END-TO-END ENTERPRISE SOA SCENARIO
We have been trying to develop some composite applications using this scenario for the last 2 months as a pilot application. But with no success. Our issues are on the post instalation process:
- CE, we cannot run and complete the wizards
- Discovery System: cannot connect Discovery System to CE.
Our strategy now is to:
- Discovery System 2.1.1 (no EhPs), server 01 + ECC SP level 8.
-> Upgrade with Support Packages and EhP 3 -> (Can´t pass the SPAM phase)
- CE - Composite Environment 7.1, server 02 + SP level 6
-> Upgrade to EhP 1, and finish the wizards
My questions are:
1. Is it worth trying to fix this environment still? (i.e. Is Discovery System 2.1.1 is too old?)
2. Should I consider Discovery 3.0, instead?
Any other suggestions?
