Hi Experts,
I'd like to ask question based on fixed asset master data.
Below asset master data there's a depreciation parameter, and on the table ITM8 showing the remaining life now is 48, but why it show difference remaining life on the asset history report?
And please guide me that how can I create Query to get remaining life fields on asset history sheet.
I tried to find table but not able to find table.
Any help will be much Appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Dharma
Hi Dhrama,
You can refer the below answer:
Fixed Asset (ITM7) and Asset History Report have 2 meanings "Remaining life" , they are not the same.
Case 1: ITM7 => Remaining Life = Depreciation End Date - Depreciation Start Date (of every fiscal year)
* In fiscal year 2016 Remaining Life = 31.12.19 - 01.01.16 = 48 months * In fiscal year 2017 Remaining Life = 31.12.19 - 01.01.17 = 36 months * In fiscal year 2018 Remaining Life = 31.12.19 - 01.01.18 = 24 months * In fiscal year 2018 Remaining Life = 31.12.19 - 01.01.19 = 12 monthsCase 2: Asset History Report => Remaining Life = Useful life - Depreciation Period
* if Period to 31.10.16 Remaining Life = 48 - 10 = 38 months * if Period to 31.12.16 Remaining Life = 48 - 12 = 36 months similar, if Period to 31.07.17 Remaining Life = 48 - 19 = 29 monthsYou can change Selection - Criteria in Asset history report at Period time to view results.
That is reason why it show difference remaining life on the asset history report and ITM7.
Hope this helps!

Truc

hi, Dharma
I am not familiar on Fixed Asset, i see that deprecation start date is 1/1/2016.
Now, is already past 10 months.
48-10=38
Then the remaining life is 38.

Edmund
