change of GL account?

hi all,

One of the accounts XXXXX was created incorrectly as PNL Account instead of Balance Sheet. Balance forward has been run as well so the account has zero balance in 2008 although it had 2000/- balance as of Dec 31, 2007. Is there a way I can change the Account Type from PNL to Balance Sheet and run balance forward again to fix the opening balances and retained earnings discrepancy

Once transactions are posted, you cannot change the type of account between P&L or Balance sheet account. What you can do is to create another Gl account of your choice type, move the items from the previous account to the new one and finally block the old GL account.

Hi,

Once data is posted in any GL in sap system, whether it is P&L statement account type or Balancesheet account You can not Change the P& L account statement to balance sheet account or Vice varsa.
