Which strategy to be used how to map the scenario in SAP

Hi Gurus,

Actually i am facing a problematic situation. I m on client side. currently they are manufacturing against sales order. But many times what happens they starts the production only on customer mail without sales order. they received the purchase order in between when the production completed 60-80 %. In this situation which strategy should be use and how to map this process in sap. Pl. suggest me any one proper method to deal with this situation.

Hello

Strategy 20 is the pure MTO, where the products are assigned to the sales order special stock. Since you don't have a sales order when you start the production, this strategy would not be recommended.

I suggest you to use strategy 40, where MRP reacts to sales orders and there is no assignment to the sales order stock. You create PIRs if you want, but this is not mandatory.

Create CIR (MD81) once you receive mail, start production against CIR, later on when you receive purchase order then create sales order & transfer stock from CIR to sales order (MvT 413-E).

1) Actually i need to link the customer with order. can we link the customer in cir.

2) which strategy will be use for map this scenario. 20 or 40 or else.
