An employee subgroup grouping for time quota types is a grouping of employee subgroups for which the same absence and attendance quota types are defined.

Eg:If you ahve different quotas for Salaried and Hourly Employees then you can group them in the table V_503_E.

Like Group 1 is for salaried and 2 for hourly and so on.

When you are configuring Abs/Att Quotas you would need to specify PSG and ESG for each quota

hi Venkat

how we can apply two different counting rules to one attendence types. If we group two different groupings for time quotas types and then because of taht we need to create two different coutning rules for each absences. Now when we assign absence type to acounting rule , then one one entry is allowed. Can you confirm this.

Hi Dilek,

Thank you, for the quick response. Those links were really helpful.I am still having some issues with understanding why these two groupings are done in Time management.

PSA grouping for time recording and Quota type.

Anjali,

PSG for Time Recording is used for 4 tables (mainly related to Time Evaluation).

A grouping of personnel subareas for time recording is a division of personnel subareas for which the same time types(T555A), time transfer specifications(V_T559P), and message types(T555E) are defined.

This group is used for Time quota generation rules too. This group is defined in the following path

Time management-->TE >TE Settings>Set PSG for Time Recording.

As I said before this is used for Time Evaluation purpose. This will usually maintained as 01.

PSG for quota groupings is diffenrent and which is used if there are diffenrent quotas for different Per.Area/P.sub area combinations.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Venkat
