Error connecting Webi to cubes in SSAS 2005

I'm using BOE 3.1 and getting the following error after I hit execute query in Web Intelligence Designer (it shows all the hierarchies in the Report Designer screen):

The following component Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Analysis Service 2005 returned server error ( An error was encountered in the transport layer.; The peer prematurely closed the connection.)

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Could you please give the exact scenario of your BO universe. Are you able to access the cubes in Universe Designer? If not then you would need SP4 for OS installed without that you can never access SSAS cubes. If you are able to see the cubes then check for the access you have.

Let me know if you need any other Info

Thanks for taking the time to respond Jaspal. Universe was created with the SSAS 2005 cube with no problems. And WebI works fine when retrieving data at the highest level of the Hierarchy. The error occurs when you have multiple levels of the same hierarchy being pulled. Here is the exact scenario:

1. Create a new query in WebI (Web or Rich client) and add the top level of the Calendar hierarchy e.g. Year.

2. Add the lowest level of the Calendar hierarchy e.g. Day.

3. Add top level of the Customer hierarchy e.g. Customer Name.

4. Execute the query. The results come up.

5. Hit Refresh Query.

As soon hit Refresh Query, the error pops up!

FYI- the server setup is:

- Windows 2003 SP2

- BusinessObjects XI 3.1 with Hot Fix 1.2 running on TomCat + mySQL.

- Connecting to the cube either on the same or different server (same error message).

Any help will be appreciated!
