Problems with SUIM: Inactive authorization objects are shown

Hello,

today I tried to search roles which included object F_BKPF_BUK with value " * " in SUIM ( Roles by complex search criteria), SUIM has shown me all roles which included this object irrespective of being active or inactive in this role.

I saw that there is a note from SAP (527637) which tells of Support Packages, but we currently use 7.0 for which there's no package included.

Does anyone also have this problem or know if there's another package for this relese?

Thanks in advance!

Based on what you have described, your search pattern is incorrect (and not the system).

* => will return "anything which is something" (which includes a *)

#* => will return all valid values of the field range (which includes a *)

#** => will return exactly the value * found (only).

Normally, #* should cover your requirements.

Cheers,

Julius

I made some tests and it works, I should have thought of the wildcard-meaning.

Thank you!

It didn't always work consistently...

But on an up-to-date 7.00 system you should be fine.

Even " ' * ' " (without the spaces that i have included to make it clear) also works in this case.

Cheers !!
