Repetative Manufcturing - Product Cost Collector and Production Version

Hi Friends,

I am new to Repetitive Manufacturing and just started.

I have 2 query regarding this.

- During Creation of Product Cost Collector I have found one Order (Order type RM01 - Product Cost Collector) is also Created (which I can see in in KKF2 ).is it Correct Behavior?

- Now Once that Product Cost Collector gets settled than can we use same Production version again (If yes than how) or we have to create new Prod Version each time.

Dear,

You can use the same production version again.

RM01 is costing order type so you can use it in KKF2.

Thanks for your Immediate response.

My question is, how I can use Same Production version again?

Is it by creating new Product Cost Collector.

I got an error massage during Creation of new Product Cost collector for that Production Version.

That is ,

Product cost collector exists for characteristics of production process

Hi Brahmankar,

Let me explain what I have done so far,

- Material Created with Repe. Profile 0002

- BOM Created

- Rate Routing Created

- Production Version created

- Run Standard Cost Estimate

- Create Product Cost Collector for Prod . Version 0001

- Crete PIR

- Run MRP

- Plan Order Create (PE)

- Then I had Done Assambly Backflush Though MFBF.

- Then I had done 1) Calculate over head - CO42 2) Calculate Varience - KKS2 and then 3)Done Settelement through CO88.

- Then I go to KKF2 and set status of that Prodct Cost Collector as Closed (I think I have done something wrong here that's why , I got that error massage)

Pls guide where I had done wrong execution.

Why are you going for KKF2 we use it for Technical completion of the order in Production order only.

Hi Brahmankar,

Meaning to say is there is no need to closed that Product Cost Collector?Only Periodic Cost settlement is required to do for that Product Cost Collector.Correct or not?

Dear,

Yes right.

We use cost collector as the cost object and backflush process. And do the peroidic settlement only.

Product Cost collectors are created in REM to calculate Preliminary costing for a material for a given Production Version This is the base on which order costs are settled in a periodic basis.

Rem Costing and settlment steps are as,

Product cost collector(KKF6n)

Priliminary cost estimation(KKF6N)

std Cost estimation(CK11n)

std cost Estimation release(CK24)

Over head calculation - (Co42)

variance calculation (KKS6)

Settlement(KK87)

Yes for the first question, and no you don't have to create a new production version after settlement.
