Maximum number 09 of internal sessions reached

Hi All,

It's been awhile since I posted here

As in the subject I have noticed this error in system logs occurring on our production system. I understand "external sessions" but not entirely sure what can cause the internal session limit to be reached. What I have seen is a lot of dropped connections when these errors occur so perhaps it is what's causing the limit to be reached ? What exactly are internal sessions and what parameter effects them ?

Any information would be appreciated as I've been searching around but haven't found anything concrete to explain the phenomenon.
