Dear All,
I need to profit center field into the G/L Fast Entry screen using O7E6, however the profit center field is not available in the list of "Possible Fields". Since it is not available in the "Possible Fields" list, then I can't add it into the screen variant.
Can you please help, how to add a new field into the list of "Possible Fields" in O7E6?
Thanks a lot in advance for your kind assistance.
kind rgds,
DTan
Use FB00 and enter the created variant in the screen "Document entry" under "Screen templates and line layout variants for document entry" under "G/L accountitems fast entry". This will default the variant during fast entry.

Hi,
It is available there, please scroll down and check. Do a page down, I think it is the 30th field in the possible fields column.
Cheers.

Dear Neeraj,
I am also facing the same problem. But I am able to create the Variant with the required fields like Profit center and WBS element. After creating the screen variant, it was activated but at the time of posting the fast entry screen, if i want to change the Template which I have created, it displays only the standard variants (My customised template is not displaying). So is it necessary to customise some where so that the variant will be display at the time of posting (F-02, FBD1) etc.
Please guide me on this.
Thanks and Regards,
Ramnath.
Hello,
Please, notice that all screen variants, whether they are created over transaction O7E5 or O7E6 refer always to the general ledger items. Here only entries for G/L accounts are allowed as well.
Please review note 2596 (consulting note) which explains how to add customer's own fields in fast entry. Please also review note 25187.
Regards,
Siwar
