Hybris marketing - How to upload contact information separated by marketing area via upload ?

We decided to segregate brands data in Hybris Marketing Cloud using Marketing Area. We have some contacts which belong to several Marketing Areas. A contact can have different contact details for each Marketing Area. How can we provide different contact data by Marketing Area during the upload?

Thanks,

Ana

Hi Ana,

Just to be clear, what do you mean by upload? via excel or data upload via ODATA.

If former then i am afraid you do not have that option in excel upload to make separate marketing area related details.

This is currently possible only via Odata upload. Or you will have to manually create the additional data in UI under Marketing Permissions tab for each of the marketing area independently.

Thanks

Hi,

You should certainly check the diagrams on https://help.sap.com/viewer/e5261d64879045ca904c750e07a292b4/1805.500/en-US/5e20853b584c494094e15e6f....

They explain well that all marketing areas that a contact belongs to, will see and use the full golden (aka best) record contact details.

Hello Ana,

We can't display the same marketing contact in different ways, depending on a brand.

If you need this in your project, then you most probably have to create different marketing contacts (=best records), one per brand for a given natural person for example.

Let's say there would exist a person Max and you'd have two brands. If you need two different attribute sets per brand, then you'd have to create one contact for Max and associate it with brand one, then create another contact for Max and associate with brand two.

If you'd just need two different email adresses (each brand-dependent), then you can realize this with just one contact - this is because we treat the email as an ID and at the level of IDs you can have different marketing area assignments.

Best regards,

Nico
