Is there Official Documentation for the BusinessObjects Enterprise query language?

I'm creating a .NET application to modify a bunch of report database connections on our BI 4.2 server.

When I got to the point of creating a query to populate the infostore, I realized I had very little idea of what or how to query the BI database.

Naturally, I googled the crap out of it and found a bunch of good stuff and found an older resource about querying my company had previously purchased. This resource pointed out that putting where si_ancestor = <folder id> would return all the items within that folder no matter how deeply nested.

That being said, I wasn't able to find any "official" documentation, just a bunch of common queries which don't do me tons of good.

So, I looked in the .NET BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platfrom 4.0 SP2 documentation and looked up the InfoStore.Query method and found this:

For more information on the BusinessObjects Enterprise query language, see
Query Language.

Unfortunately, there's no section called "Query Language" and a search for the term brings up a couple useful references, but nothing that really explains what's going on with the query language.

So, is there official documentation for how this query language works?

If not, is there a way I can log onto the database and poke around to figure out how the internals of the system work from there?

Thanks.

So, then, judging by the crickets that SAP doesn't have this documentation... A pity.
