How to use Fiori Launchpad push notifications on Java Portal?

Hello all,

is there any way to use notifications on Java Portal without a ABAP Gateway service? I mean is there something like a workaround to set up a service in Java connected to a little persistence or queue that returns the same output as the v4 Odata Service of the ABAP Gateway?

The feature of notifications for the FLP is very nice and i think there should be a more easy way to get access to it, than being dependent on a ABAP System with almost the latest stack upgrades.

Best regards,

Tobias

Hi Julio, not yet. Unfortunately i don't have time for this topic at the moment since push for java would be a really nice feature but is completely optional for my current project goals. I will update this thread in case of any new information.

Hi Tobias

Ok thank you. I supposse you can simulate this with an odata service made in java. Maybe with olingo. Have you worked with olingo?

Another option could be use a ffp extension.

Yes that would be my approach but my main problem is that i do not have the metainf for the service so i do not know what fields / structures i need to send. I would need a 7.2 ABAP NW with the activated GW Services to investigate further but i have no time for this atm.
