'Full Control' over their own Personal Folder (“My Favorites”) by default

Hi everyone!

We use SAP BI 4.2 SP4 Patch 1

I need that all users have 'Full Control' over their own Personal Folder (“My Favorites”) by default. What I need to do for this?
At first I think I need to set up some rights, but I can`t find what rights.

Thanks in advance!

By default, every user has full control on their own favorites folder. if you want to adjust the settings, you can go to CMC -> Personal Folders -> Top level security -> Everyone group

But users don't see their own folder:(
At the same time I selected right in Everyone group 'View objects that the user owns', but it still does not work.

Why don't you give everyone "Full control" rights? DO you see on Personal folders, was it limited with custom access level?

Based on your screenshot, you gave rights on system level, Can you give rights on 'General'

Yes, I can, but it doesn't work too.

I want to realise the next scenery:

  1. I create new user
  2. for his own Personal Folder system add that user as principal in 'user security'
(for example снимок2.png , it was on SAP Business Objects XI 3.1)

Can you check Top level security of Personal folders? Can you attach a screenshot? CMC-> Personal Folders ->

Click on manage and 'Top Level Security' and 'All personal folders'

when i added last right (снимок3.png) users can see their Personal Folders. But i'm not sure in that way of solving the problem. I wait behavior, that I described before.
Is it possible to do? or is the proposed variant equivalent and correct?

you should not be giving the rights on personal folders for each user. As I mentioned above,

CMC-> Personal Folders ->

Click on manage and 'Top Level Security' and 'All personal folders' , Give everyone full rights.
