Structure of the Ownership Cube within BPC 10.1

Hello everybody,

i am trying to set up a Realtime Consolidation modell using BPC 10.1 on S/4HANA with an embedded BW.

After reading quite a lot of documentation i am slightly confused about how the general Structure of the Ownership Cube should look like.

What i got so far is a transactional Cube with the following characteristics:

To ask bluntly: Does this make sense?

I am asking because i thought that within the Ownership cube you are maintaining the organizational structure with percentage values and so on.

But in no documentation or tutorial I've encountered percentage based keyfigures. So im wondering how i should maintain percentage base ownership of certain entities over each over with /ERP/RTC_AMO.

Any help is appreciated! :)

Thanks in advance and best regards

Heiko

I think you forgot to include the image ... but to be quite frank there is nothing special about the Ownership cube.

    It's a simple real-time info cube, with:

    • Group
    • Entity (/ERP/ECOMP, /ERP/EPRCTR...)
    • InterCo (/ERP/ICOMP, /ERP/IPRCTR..)
    • Category
    • Time
    • Ownership Account (as posted by Leila above)

The info objects should all have the consolidation properties required by BPC, except for the O. Account where you need the property IS_INPUT.

The key figure can be the same as the one used in the virtual info provider of the consolidation model (unless you require more than 2 decimal places).

Base on the info cube (Ownership) you will create an aggregation level. You then assign it to the BPC Consolidation model (where you also assign the composite provider for consolidation transactional data). After this, you will be able to use the Ownership Manager to update %.

    • Hi Lucas,

I just provided screen prints for the structure of the account dimension. For some reason I thought the question was only over the account dimension of ownership cube.

Anyway, now the answer is complete. Thank you

    Hello,

Based on my understand using ownership model together with consolidation is a BPC specific implementation.

You should create your own custom InfoCube for ownership model and custom infoObject for ownership account. You can then use BPC web client and enter the percentages. The following is our internal implementation of ownership account for our internal testing.

This is just a very simple implementation, I used this just for demonstration purpose.
