Read and Write Authorization for different company code in SAP BW and BPC Embedded

Dear Experts,

We are using SAP BW on HANA 7.5 SP10 with BPC Embedded and we have a requirement where user have access to two company codes say 1000 and 2000 and he/she needs to have write access for comp. code 1000 and read access for comp. code 2000.

Please note we are using AO workbooks for reporting and planning templates. We have setup authorizations but are unable to differentiate between read and write within company codes. Currently either user has read access to both entities or write access. Please advice over here.

Please have a look into the option of using authorization variables for which you have to create an appropriated custom exit with your custom specific logic. In your case the logic would require two variables, one variable for read and another variable for write > Authorizations with Variables
