Dear All,
I am trying to configure release strategy for PR.
The PR (of any value) made by the Individual (Person A) should be made available for RFQ/ Purchase Order creation only after the Department Head (Person B) approves the PR.
I have done the following:
1. Created Characteristics (Z_GSWRT) with following :
Table: CEBAN
Field: GSWRT
Value Assignment - Multiple Values & Interval Vals allowed.
2. Created Class (Z_PR) with Class Type - 032 & Characteristics - ZPR), the system display the following error message:
PLEASE CHECK RELEASE CLASSES (SEE LONG TEXT)
MESSAGE NO. ME492.
Pls. help.
Regards,
Aditi
You Must assign the Charecteristics which you have Created thru CT04 in Class CL02.
For Eg : Z_PR Charecteristics in Class Z_CL
If Unused Release Strategies already Exist in your System then Follow the Below Points :
Deletion of release strategies:
In tables T16FK, T16FV, T16FS, T16FC and T16FG, there may be entries from previous Customizing settings (for example, old release groups) that were indeed deleted from Customizing, but not deleted from the tables.
This creates an inconsistency. To eliminate the inconsistency, proceed as follows:
Make all the deleted release settings in Customizing again, save them, and then delete them in the following sequence:
1. Delete the release strategies
2. Delete the release indicators
3. Delete the release codes
4. Delete the release group
5. Delete the class (Transaction CL02), if a new one was created for the new release strategy.
Then use transaction SE16 to check whether the entries in the tables
mentioned above were deleted.
Note 365604 - FAQ: Release strategies in purchasing
Execute the report in Customizing (transaction OMGQCK or OMGSCK) and ensure that the system does not display any red traffic lights.

what type of PR release strategy that u used, item wise or overall release, make sure you dont use different release class for each type, so in PR ,only 2 release class allowed (for item wise and overall).

check for overall release , what class that it used ,if there;s already class exist, than you need to use that class. if there's no class exist for overalll release for one or more release group, then it means your class is a new one, then check the class using CL03.
