Hi,

This is regarding Field selection of optional to display in material master.

In purchasing view - purchase group field should have opational field selection.

In MRP view -purchasing gropu field should be in display mode .

How this will be configuerd in Material master field selection ?

Please give some points regards same.

Yes, it is not Possible to have two field Selections in Material Master. You can either Set Display / Optional but cannot both.

Hi,

1.The selection group no can be seen in OMSR by giving the field name and table name.

2.After finding out the selection gruop no., we select the mode (optional,display,mandatory)in (field reference)OMS9.

3.We can not have two mode for one field,because ithe mode selection is done on material type basis and not done on screen basis.

4.The field refernce is assigned with the material type in OMS2.

Why do you need this kind of setting??

Is it that two different users are responsible for maintaining the data for different views??

If you do not users maintaining the MRP data to be able to change the pur group balue then you can look at the user exit in material master to do the check & issue message accordingly.

Hi,

This is not possible to have 2 field selections for single field in Material Master.
