Update a SAP Solution Manager SP15 to SP17

Dear experts,

i have installed a SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SP15 in stack ABAP + JAVA with Windows 2003 Server Enterprise 64 bits + MS SQL and i would like to update my SAP system to SP17.

The RFC Destination (SAPOSS) to sapserv2 works.

At the MarketPlace, i went to the topic download, support package, entry by application group, sap technology component, sap solution manager, sap solution manager 7.0, support package stacks.

After choosing my OS and database system, with the SP17, when adding the components to the download basket, i cannot download the new SP17 files.

Here is the message at the download backet:

Download basket request for update has been processed. Total number of objects added to download basket and available for download 109 . Total number of objects added to Approval List and require approval 72

Is there another way to update the system? saint or spam transaction? i don't want to make mistakes.

Thank you for your helps.

Best regards.

Pascal

You have to use the solution manager itself to confirm the download basket. This is necessary since April 2007.

If you haven't done so - set up Maintenance Optimizer in the Solution Manager and run a maintenance package (see the SAP Tutor at https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000525622007E.sim)

Hello Markus Doehr,

thank you for replying and thank you for the .sim file

Did i miss something?

This point came with some SP level that you are apparently not on (yet)

you have to do that manually.

Check http://service.sap.com/rkt-solman

for manual steps.

Hello,

thank you again for replying.

I have found a sap tutor whitch deal with "Maintenance Optimizer - Normal Usage". It says to create a new maintenance transaction. there is a document to upload. My question is:

Where to find this document with the .docx or .doc extension?

Thank you for your help.
