Not possible to determine consumption account...checked in OBYC also..

Hi Pals,

When i create sales order,it prompts that

'Not possible to determine a consumption account'.

Diagnosis

The system was not able to determine a consumption account for the purchase order item with account assignment.

Which account is determined is controlled via Customizing with the function "automatic posting" (transaction/event key GBB).

I have checked in transaction OBYC for GBB. I have maintained all modifications properly..but still its showing the same error. Can anyone tell me what exactly i need to maintain in OBYC for GBB...?? and kindly tell me why it is asking for consumption account during sales order...??

Kindly resolve my ponts plz..

Hi Prasath

Go to SPRO->Materials Management->Valuation and account management without wizard -> setup purchase order

Here you do the settings as you have done the settings for the valuation and account assignment. (say for example , GBB)

If you have created material with another valuation class then you proceed with valuation and account assignment. only
