Plant maintenance - Default value for task list

Dear All ,

I am new to the forum, Can any one throw some light on where do I do customizing settings , so that I will get a pop up window asking to change workcentre while I assign a Task list to an order.

Sorry if this is a silly question.

Thanks in advance

You can define this at the following IMG path:

    >Plant maintenance & customer service -Maintenance & service Processing -Maintenance and service orders -Functions and settings for order types -Default value for task list data and profile assignment

It is also possible for each user to maintain their own settings. This can be done using the following menu:

Transaction IW31/32: Extras > Settings > Default values

Thanks! This "mystery" had been bothering me for weeks as one of my colleagues didn't get the pop-up in the sales order when I did, even though we were working with exactly the same order types, etc. Figured it was a user setting but neither of us could remember making such a setting. Discovered that my colleague had created an empty PM/SM - User default values (TPMUS) record in IW42 -> Extras -> Settings by saving without specifying a profile. I was able to repeat what he did and then rectify the problem, meaning make the pop-up display again by using the menu in IW32 like you said.

i think there is no customization for pup up mesage to change the work center while attaching the task list to order ,

As Mr Paul suggest in the menu mark the field "Workcenter" which while assigning the task list to the order in which system proposes to select the workcenter which you want so that only the operation related to the work center will get copied
