Difference between Delete Index step using Cube name or DTP name

Hello Experts,

In process chains, "Index Deletion "(DB Index) step or in "Index Creation step"(DB Index) step we can use cube name or DTP name .

Is there any difference between, using cube name or using DTP name(The DTP which load data to that cube)??

Hi Ipsita,

A DTP is identifing one source and one target. If you choose Object Type = "Data Transfer Process" (FNAM = DTP_LOAD in table RSPCVARIANT) then index will be dropped of the target InfoCube.

This is just a convenience function, to simply search and find (with F4) the relevant DTPs and targets.
