how to store planned compensation for position across classifications

Determine how to store planned compensation for positions that have minimum and maximum levels that go across classifications. Currently in SAP a position is set up with the increment levels within one classification (pay scale area) at position level across bands.

eg. Clerks have Pay scale area Min(Clerk) and Pay scale area Max(Senior Clerk)

    Hi

    This will be very much dependent of your current Job-Position definition. (Sometimes this data will be enough to determine the band, but not level). Therefore you can have IT1005 Planned Compensation at position level but also a B007 Relationship with Job (C) . Now, salary change in master data does not necessary means a promotion (adopting a new position). All this must be analyzed.

    Thanks Amilcar. We maintain the Job-Position definition say for Position - Clerk, B007 relationship with Job(Clerk) maintained.
